I spent Monday shoveling out from under the 2ft of snowfall. The second storm in 2 weeks…. Dogs coming up from the riverside and our weather a little snow and not as cold as earlier in the week.

Rawdon Weather 7AM -28°C Light winds falling to nul in the afternoon and we’ll go to -14°C in the afternoon. It’s back to cold for tonite another clear and starry nite of -28°C. We’re still waiting on snow which we may see some on the weekend. It’s been a dry winter and we have one foot of base over the ground. It’s been a banner year for hiking and walking on the frozen lake the lack of snow makes it easy to get around in boots.

and counting… it snowed all night We have zero degrees and it will climb to +3 C. there maybe rain later..

Ted Danko his wife Katerina and two daughters Krystina and Adriana came up from Brossard to visit with us. They brought a pizza bread and a big bottle of homemade wine and some chocolat too. The girls were afraid of the dogs at first but soon settled into the routine. After lunch the girls put on their skates and I drove them over to the rink that Pat Labreque had cleared and hosed. The ice was quite good in most places and the kids had a good skate. I stood and talk with my guests for a good half hour then I took my truck back home. At the house we made videos the rest of the afternoon and played with the dogs. I gave Ted a CD of Christmas music for his car.

Sorry folks but we have to laugh at the situation and sing a song about it. Seems that everyone I talked to today is waiting for snow. I just did this one up quick for fun.. We might explore this theme a little further …. so stay tuned …..

Just called Nancy at Real Massé in St-Zenon 450 884 5502 and she tells me they have 6 inches of snow everywhere and the groomer has been out once. She’s giving me an honest report and went on to tell me that they have a nice party planned for new years eve.
